I'm a reading addict, a photography lover, a late night writer, and a homemade chocolate chip cookie making extraordinaire.
I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart and I have four amazing children, all of them with big, wonderful, imaginations.
I've been writing books and novels for over a decade, but I started writing the "For a Day" picture books shortly after my youngest child was born.
As a child, I loved reading the "Animorph" books, and my kids all love playing pretend... (In fact I'm currently raising both a dragon and a dinosaur, when I used to be raising two human little boys.) With all the imagination that goes on in my house, I wanted to create books that captured the fun of being another creature.
So I set out to answer the question, "What do fantastical creatures do all day?"
I'm quite certain they play!
With their own versions of hide and seek, painting, puzzles, and more, I'm positive they're not so different from you and me.
Writing this series has been amazing, and I can't wait to continue to add to it (as each of my children have given ideas - sometimes multiple - for these books.) :)
